Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and organize educational curriculum content for different subjects and age groups.
  • Research and incorporate relevant teaching strategies, methodologies, and technologies into curriculum design.
  • Ensure the alignment of curriculum content with national and international education standards.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and teachers to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that facilitate effective teaching and learning.
  • Revise and update existing curricula based on feedback, changing educational trends, and best practices.
  • Provide professional development materials and resources for educators using the curriculum.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate with other curriculum developers to ensure consistency and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, or instructional design, particularly in a home-based or remote setting.
  • Strong knowledge of teaching methods, pedagogical theories, and educational technologies.
  • Familiarity with designing curriculum for various grade levels and subjects.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with remote teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using design and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, curriculum development software).
  • Ability to adapt curriculum based on feedback and learner needs.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching.
  • Experience in developing online or digital curricula is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in working remotely or in a flexible, home-based environment is a plus.
