Job Description Summary

The Senior Controls Program Manager will oversee and manage critical initiatives for the Turbomachinery Controls and Mark VIe platform product lines.

This role requires exceptional leadership to ensure the successful execution of complex, high-priority programs within the Gas Power Software and Controls business and the broader GE Vernova organization.

You will partner across broad cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and service organizations, to integrate portfolio strategy with lifecycle execution and delivery of software and control solutions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-lifecycle execution of complex programs, leveraging and improving program management fundamentals to ensure rigor, while remaining accountable for scope, budget, and timely delivery.
  • Form strong working relationships within informal cross-functional teams to drive consistent progress.
  • Drive wing-to-wing product integration by identifying and bridging gaps in functional coordination; actively partnering with engineering and other stakeholders to ensure all functional responsibilities are tracked and synchronized effectively.
  • Provide high-level visibility to senior leadership by delivering regular, accurate reporting on program progress, risks, and performance outcomes.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for more junior resources in similar roles, as well as for those working within project teams.
  • Embrace and propagate Lean principles throughout the organization to drive on-going continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize customer success by engaging stakeholders for input and feedback, and validating program outcomes through the customer’s lens.
  • Ensure tight coordination and synergy, preventing duplication of work across various Pivot-to-Value (P2V), product development, integration, and Supply Chain programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a business-related discipline, or equivalent experience (4+ years in a technology focused role)
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • 20% Travel to both domestically and internationally to support business engagements (internal & customer focused)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of GE Gas Power products & services, processes, tools, and organizational structure, with a working knowledge of controls
  • Proven ability to lead horizontally through influence in a diverse, matrixed global organization; capable of resolving complex issues across functional areas and business lines
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and decisive; capable of making independent, data-driven decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong business acumen and judgement, with the ability to handle complex tasks, navigate market/customer needs, and offer innovative solutions that go beyond traditional thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical data for all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills with a systematic approach to process analysis and strategy development; capable of driving results autonomously under pressure.
  • Proven ability to act as a change agent while challenging the status quo to drive operational efficiency / Lean experience preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification(s).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $118,600.00 and $197,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
