Through cutting-edge technology, we enable institutions to transform the lives of students and the communities they serve.

We are seeking an inspirational and visionary Vice President of Global Product Advocacy & Market Engagement to lead how Ellucian shares its product story to the market by amplifying narratives crafted and curated through Solutions Marketing. This role translates product vision into advocacy and momentum by carrying those narratives consistently across regions and audiences, connecting innovation to real institutional outcomes, and reinforcing Ellucian's leadership in responsible, AI-powered transformation.

At Ellucian, we believe that higher education is the foundation for individual and societal progress. Product Evangelism is a force multiplier for that mission. It brings Ellucian's strongest storytellers into a cohesive, scalable motion that increases market understanding, strengthens executive credibility, and accelerates adoption of emerging solutions. This function also creates a disciplined feedback loop from the field back into Solutions Marketing and Product to refine message deployment, proof points, and readiness.

Where you will make an impact

Tell the product story across regions: Operationalize a global evangelism cadence that ensures Solutions Marketing narratives are delivered consistently across geographies, segments, and audiences, with appropriate regional adaptation.

Amplify Ellucian innovation and product vision: Lead thought leadership, executive presentations, keynotes, event strategy, and customer executive briefings that bring product strategy to life and build confidence in Ellucian's roadmap and outcomes.

Drive advocacy and momentum for emerging solutions: Build and scale advocacy motions including customer champions, practitioner communities, partner amplification, and outcome stories that validate product impact and accelerate adoption.

Build and orchestrate a bench of elite storytellers: Identify, develop, and coordinate product storytellers across Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, and regional GTM teams, improving narrative fluency, executive readiness, and delivery quality.

Activate Solutions Marketing messaging through market-ready assets: Partner with Solutions Marketing to translate messaging into high-impact evangelism content such as executive scripts, demo narratives, talk tracks, event programming, and reusable storytelling kits for regional teams.

Create a feedback loop to refine and validate key messages: Establish mechanisms to capture field insights such as objections, competitive signals, win and loss themes, and regional nuance, and return structured feedback to Solutions Marketing and Product to improve narrative deployment and readiness.

Extend reach into strategic growth regions: Partner with regional leaders to increase visibility and credibility in areas prioritized for global growth through targeted forums, communities, and institutional engagement.

What you will bring

Executive leadership and operating maturity

15+ years of progressive experience across product evangelism, product marketing, go-to-market, strategy, communications, developer relations, or related market-facing leadership in enterprise software or SaaS, including 7+ years leading teams and leaders.

Proven ability to operate at the executive leadership level in a matrixed organization, aligning senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

Demonstrated excellence in building operating cadences, planning rhythms, and measurable program execution across a global footprint.

Market-facing evangelism and external presence

Recognized executive presence and credibility as a public-facing spokesperson, comfortable in high-stakes forums including keynotes, customer executive briefings, analyst briefings, media opportunities, and partner events.

Track record of developing thought leadership programs that drive market awareness, category understanding, and adoption momentum.

Narrative execution and message discipline (in partnership with Solutions Marketing)

Demonstrated ability to activate and scale messaging owned by Solutions Marketing by translating it into compelling stories, presentations, demos, event programming, and executive scripts that land with specific audiences.

Strong editorial judgment and coaching capability to drive message discipline across a broad bench of storytellers and executives, ensuring consistency without owning the core messaging function.

Advocacy systems and community-led growth

Experience building advocacy engines, including customer champions, reference motions, practitioner communities, and scalable engagement programs that create authentic proof and amplification.

Ability to define and run metrics-driven programs that demonstrate impact, reach, engagement, and downstream influence on pipeline, adoption, and retention.

GTM partnership, enablement, and feedback loops

Demonstrated success partnering with Solutions Marketing, Sales Enablement, and regional GTM leaders to drive field readiness and adoption through repeatable processes, not one-off efforts.

Strong ability to synthesize market signals, win and loss insights, objections, and regional nuance into actionable feedback that improves messaging deployment, enablement effectiveness, and product-market fit.

Team building and talent development

Proven experience hiring, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams across geographies, including program leads and senior storytellers, with a culture of accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

Travel

Willingness to travel for major customer engagements, strategic events, and regional Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
