This role is for a senior Solution Architect responsible for leading the architecture, design, and delivery of Client's enterprise data platform using Databricks, Azure Data Services, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse principles.

Key focus areas include

  • Enterprise data platform architecture: Designing scalable, secure Lakehouse solutions for reporting, analytics, machine learning, AI, and data products.
  • Technical leadership: Acting as the primary technical authority, guiding onshore and offshore engineering teams, reviewing designs, code, deployment strategies, and resolving complex platform issues.
  • Governance and security: Implementing standards for data governance, access controls, metadata, lineage, auditing, compliance, and Unity Catalog-based multi-tenant architecture.
  • Delivery excellence: Establishing engineering best practices, automation, CI/CD, observability, reusable frameworks, and operational playbooks.
  • Team mentorship: Leading offshore teams, supporting onboarding, coaching engineers, and promoting technical excellence and accountability.
  • Required qualifications: 10 15 years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or cloud data platforms, with strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, Spark, Azure, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, security, governance, and distributed team leadership.
  • Preferred qualifications: Data governance, data mesh, AI/ML or GenAI workloads, certifications, P&C insurance or financial services experience, FinOps, and observability.
  • Success measures: Successful delivery of Client's Lakehouse platform, adoption of standards, improved scalability/security/cost efficiency, faster delivery of analytics and AI use cases, and stronger engineering capability across teams.
