In this field-based role, you will translate complex scientific data into meaningful clinical insights, support evidence generation activities, and strengthen Novartis’ scientific leadership through collaborative engagement with the medical community. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of science, clinical practice, and innovation while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.<p><br> </p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description</b></p><div><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and execute strategic Medical Expert engagement plans aligned with country medical priorities and therapeutic area strategy.</li><li>Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Medical Experts, investigators, and key healthcare stakeholders through compliant, peer-to-peer scientific exchange.</li><li>Educate Medical Experts on emerging clinical data, disease state information, and approved scientific content.</li><li>Respond accurately and compliantly to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals.</li><li>Support Novartis-sponsored clinical research programs through study site identification, feasibility activities, trial execution support, and scientific collaboration with clinical operations teams.</li><li>Facilitate Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) processes and provide scientific guidance upon investigator request.</li><li>Gather, synthesize, and communicate actionable medical insights from the field to inform medical strategy and evidence-generation plans.</li><li>Act as a scientific resource for cross-functional colleagues by providing therapeutic area expertise and clinical data interpretation.</li><li>Ensure timely reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios related to Novartis products in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Maintain the highest standards of Ethics, Risk & Compliance, governance, and documentation requirements across all medical activities.<br> </li></ul><h3>Essential Requirements</h3><ul><li>Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc or equivalent).</li><li>Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Medical Information, or a related scientific field within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of clinical research, clinical trial design, epidemiology, biostatistics, and drug development processes.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information effectively to healthcare professionals and Medical Experts.</li><li>Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with external stakeholders and key opinion leaders.</li><li>Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across boundaries in a matrix environment.</li><li>Proficiency with CRM systems and other relevant digital tools.</li><li>Excellent medical writing, presentation, and scientific communication skills.</li><li>Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.<br> </li></ul><h3>Desirable Requirements</h3><ul><li>Previous experience in a field-based Medical Scientific Liaison role.</li><li>Experience supporting Phase IV studies, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">investigator-sponsored</span> research, or evidence-generation initiatives.</li></ul></div><ul></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"><br> </p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Skills Desired</b></p>Biostatistics, Clinical Research, Clinical Study Reports, Curious Mindset, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software, Disease Management, Drug Development, Epidemiology, IT Tools, Medical Information, Medical Research, Medical Writing, Product Placement
