Overview

We're hiring a Social Media Specialist to manage day-to-day social media execution and strategy across a variety of clients. You'll work alongside an account management team, with hands-on responsibility for content creation, client communication, and performance reporting.

This is a practical role where you'll film and edit content, build content calendars, and manage client accounts daily. You'll also think strategically about why content works or doesn't work, and contribute ideas to improve results. If you understand that platform-specific, native content outperforms recycled posts, and that consistent, on-brand messaging builds real brand value, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Do

Content Strategy & Execution

• Develop and implement organic social media strategies aligned with client goals and business objectives

• Create engaging, on-brand content — copy, graphics, short-form video, and campaign ideas — across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

• Travel locally to client sites to film and capture content, including on-site video shoots using a phone or basic equipment

• Shoot and edit short-form video content for social platforms, from raw footage to finished, on-brand posts

• Manage social media content calendars, ensuring content is planned, organized, and published on schedule

Client & Internal Communication

• Join kickoff calls to set expectations and establish scope with account managers

• Join client meetings in person or virtually to plan content, align on messaging, and coordinate filming schedules

• Present monthly performance reports to clients; explain what's working and what's changing in clear, straightforward language

• Coordinate with the account team on priorities and client feedback

Performance & Growth

• Track performance metrics and analyze results to identify wins, opportunities, and optimization recommendations

• Contribute to monthly client reports with clear takeaways, not just raw data

• Manage account access, page roles, and permissions across client social accounts

• Boost top-performing posts to extend organic reach where relevant

• Participate in pitches and help shape service packages, deliverables, and pricing

What You'll Need

Essential Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience managing organic social media for multiple clients (agency or in-house environment preferred)

• Strong understanding of major social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

• Working knowledge of content management tools and Google Drive

• Experience managing social media accounts — account access, permissions, and basic account administration

• Hands-on experience filming and editing short-form video, including phone-shot content

• Direct experience managing content calendars and publishing schedules for multiple clients

• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present to clients and write content that matches each client's voice

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to juggle multiple client accounts and prioritize without missing deadlines

• Willingness to travel locally for client filming and content capture

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Canva or graphic design

• Experience with advanced video editing

• Experience participating in marketing pitches or proposals

• Familiarity with building service packages or pricing structures for marketing work

• Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application

• Health, dental, and vision insurance

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
