As<br><br>part of our Public Safety team, you will play a vital role in protecting<br><br>our community while supporting Moody\'s mission of equipping people with<br><br>the truth of God\'s Word.<br><br>**About Us**<br><br>Moody Bible Institute is a Christ-centered higher education and media<br><br>ministry dedicated to equipping people with the truth of God\'s Word.<br><br>Through trusted biblical teaching, media, and educational resources,<br><br>Moody reaches audiences around the world with the gospel and seeks to<br><br>make a lasting Kingdom impact.<br><br>**The Opportunity**<br><br>Reporting to the Chief of Public Safety, the Public Safety Officer is<br><br>responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Moody Bible<br><br>Institute\'s Chicago campus through proactive patrols, emergency<br><br>response, incident management, and community engagement. This role<br><br>requires sound judgment, professionalism, and a servant-hearted approach<br><br>to serving others.<br><br>**What Youll Do**<br><br><ul><li> Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to deter and identify security<br><br></li></ul>concerns.<br><br><ul><li> Serve as a primary responder to campus incidents, alarms, emergency<br><br></li></ul>calls, and 911 notifications.<br><br><ul><li> Assess, manage, and secure incident scenes while coordinating with<br><br></li></ul>emergency responders and city officials.<br><br><ul><li> Prepare accurate, timely, and detailed incident reports and related<br><br></li></ul>documentation.<br><br><ul><li> Monitor and oversee part-time staff and dispatch operations during<br><br></li></ul>assigned shifts.<br><br><ul><li> Enforce campus policies, including parking regulations and access<br><br></li></ul>control procedures.<br><br><ul><li> Provide security coverage for campus events and activities.</li><li> Assist students, employees, and visitors by providing information,<br><br></li></ul>guidance, and support.<br><br><ul><li> Issue trespass notices when necessary and respond to unauthorized<br><br></li></ul>access concerns.<br><br><ul><li> Provide security escorts, cash transport support, and executive<br><br></li></ul>protection services as assigned.<br><br><ul><li> Complete additional departmental duties and special assignments as<br><br></li></ul>directed.<br><br>**Key Qualifications**<br><br><ul><li> Associate degree or two years of related security, public safety,<br><br></li></ul>law enforcement, military, or customer service experience.<br><br><ul><li> Valid driver\'s license with a satisfactory driving record.</li><li> At least 21 years of age.</li><li> Strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.</li><li> Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency<br><br></li></ul>situations.<br><br><ul><li> Authorized to work in the United States without employer<br><br></li></ul>sponsorship.<br><br>**Preferred Qualifications**<br><br><ul><li> Bachelors degree in criminal justice or a related field.</li><li> Illinois PERC Card.</li><li> Illinois FOID Card.</li><li> Experience responding to fire, medical, or security incidents.</li><li> Previous security, law enforcement, campus safety, or military<br><br></li></ul>experience.<br><br>**Work Environment**<br><br><ul><li> This position is based on Moody Bible Institute\'s downtown Chicago<br><br></li></ul>campus and includes both outdoor and indoor responsibilities.<br><br><ul><li> Officers regularly patrol campus on foot and in vehicles, respond to<br><br></li></ul>emergencies, and interact with a diverse campus community.<br><br><ul><li> The role requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in<br><br></li></ul>varying weather conditions.<br><br>**Schedule**<br><br>This position follows an overnight shift schedule, consisting of three<br><br>12-hour shifts (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) per week, with a rotating fourth<br><br>weekend shift as needed.<br><br>**What We Offer**<br><br>Mission-driven work that impacts lives for Christ.<br><br>Supportive and collaborative team environment.<br><br>Opportunities for professional develop en
