Job Description:

  • Own the @getknowt TikTok and Instagram accounts day to day, posting daily for a high school audience
  • Take content from idea to publish, including hooks, scripts, filming, editing, and captions
  • Create relatable content about high school, AP exams, the SAT and ACT, studying, and test stress
  • Turn Knowt's product into content students want to watch and use
  • Ensure every post feels native to the platform and high school culture
  • Test hooks, formats, storytelling angles, and CTAs to find repeatable winning formulas
  • Tie content to the high school calendar
  • Use platform trends, audience behavior, and performance data to develop new content concepts
  • Iterate daily based on performance data
  • Track and report content performance with recommendations on what to scale, improve, or stop
  • Measure views, watch time, saves, shares, comments, and signups
  • Work directly with the marketing team and report to the Student Marketing Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum commitment of 10–15 hours/week
  • A real feel for what goes viral on TikTok and Instagram, and why
  • Firsthand understanding of high school, AP classes, the SAT and ACT, and the pressure that comes with all of it
  • Comfort taking a video from idea to posted
  • A data-driven approach, making decisions from view and conversion metrics
  • Experience creating and growing short-form content, especially for edtech or exam-prep audiences (nice to have)
  • Comfort on camera, or experience scripting for creators (nice to have)
  • Sat for AP exams, the SAT, or the ACT (nice to have)
  • Must be a resident of Canada or United States
